Each year, of the 20,000 who die who would qualify as organ donors, only 15% actually become organ donors. This is largely because families were not presented with the opportunity to donate. This study proposed to describe the experiences of the legal decision makers who are involved in such situations and who have consented to donate the organs of brain dead individuals for transplantation. 000001007 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000001007 650__ $$aDecision Making, Shared$$013135 000001007 650__ $$aTissue and Organ Procurement$$023268 000001007 650__ $$aBrain Death$$015793 000001007 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000001007 7001_ $$aSempio, Marilou$$uOregon Health Sciences University$$041355 000001007 7001_ $$aBaldwin, Lisa$$uOregon Health Sciences University$$041355 000001007 8564_ $$9c688a9d1-630e-45f2-9257-b5ce76c34f4c$$s5883619$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/1007/files/1032_etd.pdf 000001007 905__ $$a/rest/prod/73/66/64/58/736664585 000001007 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:1007$$pstudent-work 000001007 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
