Given the rapid advances in technology and computational complexity, there may be gaps in best practices and guidelines to support the current challenges facing Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) laboratories. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS), an NGS technology, allows for the exponential generation of human sequencing data.
