These fractures can be operatively treated with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), proximal humerus nail (PHN), hemiarthroplasty (HA), or reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA). Though more expensive than other techniques, RTSA has rapidly gained popularity. Prior studies have described outcomes of proximal humerus fracture management with various techniques, yet the optimal approach in the elderly remains contentious. The purpose of this study was to assess relative cost-effectiveness of non-operative management, ORIF, PHN, HA, and RTSA for treatment of proximal humerus fractures in patients age 60 and over. 000010085 540__ $$fCC BY 000010085 650__ $$aCost-Effectiveness Analysis$$014041 000010085 650__ $$aValue-Based Health Care$$013946 000010085 6531_ $$aproximal humerus fractures 000010085 6531_ $$afragility fracture 000010085 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000010085 7001_ $$aHsue, Lauren$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000010085 7201_ $$aNazir, Omar$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000010085 7201_ $$aLindsay, Sarah$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000010085 7201_ $$aThompson, Austin$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000010085 7201_ $$aRamsey, Duncan$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000010085 7201_ $$aMirarchi, Adam$$uUniversity of California, San Francisco$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000010085 8564_ $$95970a46e-5609-4f3a-b4c9-3d931fe681bd$$s1143969$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/10085/files/Hsue.Lauren.2023.pdf 000010085 905__ $$a/rest/prod/w3/76/37/76/w3763776z 000010085 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:10085$$pstudent-work 000010085 980__ $$aScholarly Project Capstones
