Tailoring opioid prescriptions to inpatient use after orthopedic procedures may effectively control pain while limiting overprescription but may not be common in the current orthopedic practice. The main goal of this quality improvement project was to determine if there is any association between a postoperative patient?s predischarge day opioid use and the quantity of opioids prescribed for post discharge use. 000010131 650__ $$aOrthopedic Procedures$$031751 000010131 650__ $$aAdult$$014319 000010131 650__ $$aPain Management$$039572 000010131 650__ $$aDrug Therapy$$018086 000010131 650__ $$aPatient Discharge$$023666 000010131 650__ $$aInappropriate Prescribing$$039056 000010131 6531_ $$aopioids 000010131 6531_ $$apostoperative pain 000010131 6531_ $$aadministration and dosage 000010131 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000010131 7001_ $$aSevedean, Anamaria 000010131 7001_ $$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000010131 8564_ $$9edd282c0-b9e0-4956-b7ae-2b32ada5b0d7$$s1675865$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/10131/files/Sevedean.Ana.2023.pdf 000010131 905__ $$a/rest/prod/z0/29/p5/56/z029p556r 000010131 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:10131$$pstudent-work 000010131 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
