N2  - The goal of this examination is to determine if there is a relationship between diet quality measured using Healthy Eating Index (HEI) scores and saturated fat intake, and changes with abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT), visceral adipose tissue (VAT), and intrahepatic lipids (IHL) throughout pregnancy. Healthy eating index is a diet assessment tool and a higher overall HEI score indicates better diet quality and closer adherence to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.  This project will bridge relationship gaps in the literature between maternal diet and weight and adipose tissue changes during pregnancy.  This investigation is a secondary analysis of a prospective joint study conducted at Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research and Oregon Health & Science University to track adipose tissue and insulin sensitivity during pregnancy.
