Various lab-on-chips (LOC) techniques have been developed and are usually geared towards the bio-tech industry, dealing frequently with analysis of target molecules in liquid medium. Similar integrated technology has also evolved for the detection of gaseous analytes and is commonly known as electronic nose or e-nose. It would be of great advantage if multiple targets in both liquid and gaseous mediums could be identified and quantified by a single device. This would also serve as a common platform for the development of new detection strategies. In this dissertation, I have developed a sensor-array chip hybrid for rapid parallel detection of multiple organic or inorganic target molecules in either gas or liquid mediums. 000000154 540__ $$fCC BY 000000154 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000154 650__ $$aResearch$$025336 000000154 650__ $$aMicrofluidic Analytical Techniques$$035789 000000154 650__ $$aBiosensing Techniques$$028362 000000154 650__ $$aElectronic Nose$$040092 000000154 6531_ $$aasic 000000154 6531_ $$alab-on-chip 000000154 6531_ $$aloc 000000154 6531_ $$ahybrid 000000154 6531_ $$asensor array 000000154 6531_ $$aintegrated chip 000000154 6531_ $$aapplication specific integrated circuits 000000154 691__ $$aOGI School of Science and Engineering$$041365 000000154 692__ $$aOGI Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering$$041409 000000154 7001_ $$aRanganathan, Lavakumar$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000154 7201_ $$aMcCarthy, Jack$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000000154 8564_ $$91756a3f0-1947-4353-8478-4426a4a2622d$$s22739748$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/154/files/154_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2c545fc80a55f05ca9e7f951e2cc3ea9d$$31 000000154 905__ $$a/rest/prod/0r/96/73/74/0r967374w 000000154 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:154$$pstudent-work 000000154 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
