AB  - As the nursing role expands into practitioner status, the nurse must assume responsibility for material appropriate to her field. The surgical nurse clinician, as part of her professional responsibilities, ligates bleeders and closes the fascia and skin on many surgical incisions. This study compares Dexin to Silk, two suture materials used for skin closures, to determine if Dexin is more acceptable than silk when used in the skin.
