Overweight is defined as body weight in excess of an ideal weight based on height and sex specific standards. Overweight can result from excess accumulation of bone, muscle, fat, or, more rarely, fluid. Almost everyone who is more than 20% overweight is also over fat or obese. The present study will describe a method developed to teach cardiovascular patients how to change their eating habits and thus lose weight. Videotape replay was used to facilitate the teaching therapy. 000001799 536__ $$oNurse Traineeship from the United States Public Health Service$$c5 A11  NU 0035-15 000001799 540__ $$fCC BY 000001799 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000001799 650__ $$aFeeding Behavior$$018929 000001799 650__ $$aVideotape Recording$$027816 000001799 650__ $$aDiet$$017776 000001799 650__ $$aObesity$$023118 000001799 650__ $$aCardiovascular Diseases$$016152 000001799 650__ $$aBehavior Therapy$$015413 000001799 650__ $$aDeveloped Countries$$031312 000001799 650__ $$aObesity$$023118 000001799 650__ $$aOvernutrition$$035451 000001799 650__ $$aVideotape Recording$$027816 000001799 6531_ $$areducing 000001799 691__ $$aUO Medical School$$041362 000001799 692__ $$aUOMS Department of Nursing Education$$041452 000001799 7001_ $$aDuncan, Elizabeth S.$$uUniversity of Oregon$$041359 000001799 7201_ $$aRawlinson, May$$uUniversity of Oregon$$041359$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000001799 7201_ $$aGaines, Barbara M.$$uUniversity of Oregon$$041359$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000001799 7201_ $$aSaslow, George$$uUniversity of Oregon$$041359$$7Personal$$eCollaborator 000001799 7201_ $$aBrookhart, John M.$$uUniversity of Oregon$$041359$$7Personal$$eCommittee chair 000001799 8564_ $$92e01e725-e131-40fa-84c0-d0c4bbd4b400$$s12606168$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/1799/files/2502_etd.pdf 000001799 905__ $$a/rest/prod/h9/89/r3/37/h989r3378 000001799 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:1799$$pstudent-work 000001799 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
