TY - GEN AB - Covenant Health System (CHS) of Lubbock, Texas, part of the St. Joseph Health System in Orange, California, is the largest healthcare system in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Last year, the management of Covenant Health System decided to implement a Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) across its main facilities. PACS is a combination of hardware and software designed to acquire, store, transmit, and present digital radiographic images for interpretation and review. An educational module is needed to effectively address large audiences of end users. To fulfill this need, I have taken on the task of developing a PACS education module using PowerPoint. I chose PowerPoint due to its effectiveness as a presentation tool that can reach a broad audience.
