This study compared whole-body DEXA, half-body DEXA, and bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) in 98 obese adults. Half-body DEXA produced results closely matching whole-body measurements, with only minor, clinically insignificant differences, while BIA showed slightly greater variation. These findings suggest that half-body DEXA is a practical alternative when full scans are not feasible, and BIA remains a reasonable option when DEXA is unavailable. 000002170 540__ $$fCC BY 000002170 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002170 650__ $$aObesity$$023118 000002170 650__ $$aDiagnosis$$017684 000002170 650__ $$aWeight Loss$$028407 000002170 650__ $$aElectric Impedance$$029684 000002170 650__ $$aBody Composition$$015696 000002170 6531_ $$aphoton absorptiometry 000002170 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002170 692__ $$aDepartment of Medicine$$041425 000002170 7001_ $$aSilverstein, Whitney$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002170 8564_ $$9c6bd73ae-44c6-411c-9293-308dd0b7cb11$$s2062780$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2170/files/2899_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2a86e7bc33b2538d1cdea04b7d857bdf2$$31 000002170 901__ $$a<p>These documents are archival records.
