000002173 520__ $$aCervical cancer screening reduces mortality, yet many women remain unscreened despite access to care. This study examined interest in at‑home, self‑collected human papillomavirus (HPV) testing among women overdue for Papanicolaou (Pap) screening. A cross‑sectional survey was conducted among women aged 24–69 recruited from primary care clinics. Results showed that women with delayed Pap screening were significantly more likely to prefer at‑home HPV testing over clinic‑based Pap testing, particularly those who disliked pelvic examinations or had difficulty scheduling appointments. These findings suggest that self‑collected HPV testing may increase screening participation among women facing barriers to traditional cervical cancer screening.
