Although both bind a CK2-phosphorylated acidic cluster motif on CI-MPR, they direct opposing sorting steps. This study identifies autoregulatory acidic cluster domains in PACS-1 and GGA3 that are differentially controlled by CK2 phosphorylation. PACS-1 links CK2 to GGA3, forming a complex that coordinates CI-MPR release, retrieval, and recycling. These findings reveal a CK2-driven phosphorylation cascade that orchestrates endosomal–Golgi protein trafficking. 000002180 540__ $$fCC BY 000002180 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002180 650__ $$aProtein Transport$$032875 000002180 650__ $$aPhosphorylation$$024067 000002180 650__ $$aReceptor, IGF Type 2$$030040 000002180 6531_ $$apacs1 protein 000002180 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002180 692__ $$aVollum Institute$$041509 000002180 7001_ $$aScott, Gregory$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002180 7201_ $$aThomas, Gary$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eMentor 000002180 8564_ $$95cb2a8d3-e456-41a9-9851-fe42a173c30b$$s5050553$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2180/files/2909_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2446bd6439bd696bc6f662b0efe0d0b97$$31 000002180 901__ $$a<p>These documents are archival records.
