Increased reliance on information systems can result in negative end-user acceptance and impact patient care when there are system issues or application downtime Enterprise monitoring is a means of preventing this negative impact on end-users and patients. This study reviewed enterprise monitoring of a laboratory information system at a multi-facility healthcare organization. This review was accomplished by gathering current monitoring parameters from the monitoring application IT staff workflow from the organization troubleshooting database and current staff training procedures. Though enterprise monitoring is effective at this organization areas to improve upon include improving alert instructions or unclear messages checking for obsolete system functionality looking for underutilized or misdirected alerts and implementing staff training documentation. 000002212 540__ $$fCC BY 000002212 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002212 650__ $$aMedical Informatics$$021938 000002212 650__ $$aClinical Laboratory Information Systems$$016785 000002212 650__ $$aWorkflow$$038890 000002212 650__ $$aDocumentation$$018012 000002212 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002212 692__ $$aDepartment of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology$$041422 000002212 7001_ $$aMorey, Chris$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002212 8564_ $$99572a1fb-96ee-4d59-89ca-8cb171f80d4e$$s1654501$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2212/files/2941_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$26cf4028ca6fee15f0942742add3306bc$$31 000002212 905__ $$a/rest/prod/51/38/jf/04/5138jf046 000002212 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2212$$pstudent-work
