The parameters measured for PDT quality control were the drug accumulation and the optical penetration depth. These methods were tested in vitro in photochemical assays and in tissue simulating phantoms. Pilot clinical trials were conducted and in vivo measurements were perform in patients undergoing endoscopic screening for esophageal diseases and photodynamic therapy of esophagus, lung, oral cavity and skin. 000002417 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002417 650__ $$aEsophageal Diseases$$018633 000002417 650__ $$aPhotochemotherapy$$024078 000002417 691__ $$aOGI School of Science and Engineering$$041365 000002417 692__ $$aOGI Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering$$041409 000002417 7001_ $$aBargo, Paulo$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002417 7201_ $$aJacques, Steven$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000002417 8564_ $$9f1af709a-cb6c-40f9-937c-2e53cf2a9957$$s22733694$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2417/files/3155_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2fe3d92729700ea5bb00fa50cf48cb900$$31 000002417 905__ $$a/rest/prod/v6/92/t6/46/v692t646g 000002417 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2417$$pstudent-work 000002417 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
