There are many potential sources of error that must be controlled to obtain valid and reproducible results from these experiments and estimate relative levels of gene expression. There is currently no proven best method of normalization or data processing for the analysis of microarray data. We wanted to find out whether we could generate a consistent and meaningful report of microarray gene expression results, correcting from systematic sources of variation, and ensure that the results are valid and reproducible for the genetics researcher. 000002482 540__ $$fCC BY 000002482 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002482 650__ $$aSoftware$$026159 000002482 650__ $$aMedical Informatics$$021938 000002482 650__ $$aQuality Control$$025030 000002482 650__ $$aDNA$$017977 000002482 650__ $$aOligonucleotide Array Sequence Analysis$$032398 000002482 650__ $$aGene Expression$$028717 000002482 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002482 692__ $$aDivision of Medical Informatics and Outcomes Research$$041423 000002482 7001_ $$aRodland, Matthew$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002482 7201_ $$aDubay, Christopher$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000002482 8564_ $$9493c6d34-fd4b-4707-a794-f39c32f82d63$$s7734848$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2482/files/3223_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$21f8f3035a759fd2ef949cc00c5eff363$$31 000002482 905__ $$a/rest/prod/j0/98/zb/32/j098zb32r 000002482 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2482$$pstudent-work 000002482 980__ $$aBiomedical Informatics
