This study identifies Rab6 as essential for presenting Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigens to MR1-restricted T cells in infected epithelial cells, but not for classical MHCI or HLA-E pathways. Rab6 knockdown and imaging revealed that Rab6 does not affect MR1 surface expression or ligand-induced translocation, suggesting its role is unrelated to MR1 trafficking. These findings implicate Rab6 in antigen processing rather than MR1 transport, providing a basis for future studies on intracellular trafficking in MR1-mediated immunity. 000002698 540__ $$fCC BY 000002698 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002698 650__ $$arab GTP-Binding Proteins$$032610 000002698 650__ $$aAntigen Presentation$$030374 000002698 650__ $$aMycobacterium tuberculosis$$022570 000002698 650__ $$aMycobacterium tuberculosis antigens 000002698 650__ $$aHistocompatibility Antigens Class I$$028378 000002698 650__ $$aAntigen-Presenting Cells$$014881 000002698 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002698 692__ $$aDepartment of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology$$041429 000002698 7001_ $$aSiekavizza-Robles, Carlos$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002698 7201_ $$aLewinsohn, David$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor$$eMentor 000002698 8564_ $$9ff2e6fd3-2635-453b-a45d-40efd8db5a35$$s1293585$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2698/files/3491_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$249e2a93ff3eebfc50590ba3d08a80383$$31 000002698 905__ $$a/rest/prod/bn/99/97/00/bn999700t 000002698 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2698$$pstudent-work 000002698 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
