Logistic regression analyses revealed that sexual minority youth experiencing harassment had significantly higher odds of depression (OR=1.65), suicidal ideation (OR=1.75), and suicide attempts (OR=1.84) compared to those without harassment. Moderation by sex indicated the importance of intersecting identities. Findings underscore the need for school policies addressing homophobic and bias-based bullying to reduce mental health disparities. 000002704 540__ $$fCC BY 000002704 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002704 650__ $$aSocial Support$$026119 000002704 650__ $$aMental Health$$022046 000002704 650__ $$aHomosexuality$$020295 000002704 650__ $$aMinority Groups$$022336 000002704 650__ $$aOutcome Assessment, Health Care$$029660 000002704 650__ $$aHealth Inequities$$013830 000002704 650__ $$aBullying$$039183 000002704 650__ $$aSuicidal Ideation$$039477 000002704 650__ $$aSuicide, Attempted$$026556 000002704 650__ $$aAdolescent$$014285 000002704 650__ $$aSexual and Gender Minorities$$011991 000002704 651__ $$aOregon$$041094 000002704 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002704 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000002704 7001_ $$aMarre, Emily$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002704 7201_ $$aRieckmann, Traci$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eMentor 000002704 8564_ $$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2704/files/3485_etd_Redacted.pdf$$9a0ba51a1-013e-443a-bb7d-abc8e8b5e798$$s939153$$ePublic$$31$$24aac8b6ef1d1c90e3ae485d44a533231 000002704 905__ $$a/rest/prod/3b/59/18/78/3b5918788 000002704 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2704$$pstudent-work 000002704 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
