Laboratory tests are a ubiquitous and sometimes costly aspect of medical care. Providers may order laboratory tests to assist with diagnosis based on antiquated training reflexively to mitigate liability as a pre-requisite to pharmacologic therapy or automatically as a part of an order set. Providers have little if any assistance from electronic health records EHRs to guide their understanding of trends in their own normal or abnormal lab results. The project aim was to develop a framework to visualize analytics and disparities in laboratory test results ordered by providers. 000002764 540__ $$fCC BY 000002764 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002764 650__ $$aClinical Laboratory Techniques$$031605 000002764 650__ $$aDiagnosis$$017684 000002764 650__ $$aMedical Order Entry Systems$$036354 000002764 650__ $$aPatient Care$$019442 000002764 650__ $$aInpatients$$020846 000002764 650__ $$aElectronic Health Records$$038928 000002764 6531_ $$alaboratory diagnosis 000002764 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002764 692__ $$aDepartment of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology$$041422 000002764 7001_ $$aRosenbaum, Benjamin$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002764 7201_ $$aMohan, Vishnu$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000002764 8564_ $$91b0c7f26-3598-4aa2-95fc-e860691e0f37$$s985328$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2764/files/3530_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$262c6a6540fef1fbf97a0a9a72ad325c2$$31 000002764 905__ $$a/rest/prod/1c/18/df/96/1c18df96k 000002764 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2764$$pstudent-work 000002764 980__ $$aBiomedical Informatics
