While low post-TIPS hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) has been linked to HE, the association between the degree of HVPG reduction and HE risk remains unclear. This study aims to determine the prevalence of post-TIPS HE, identify the magnitude of HVPG reduction associated with increased HE risk, and explore additional contributing factors among patients undergoing TIPS at Oregon Health & Science University from 2002–2012. 000002789 540__ $$fCC BY 000002789 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002789 650__ $$aHepatic Encephalopathy$$020104 000002789 650__ $$aLiver Cirrhosis$$021584 000002789 650__ $$aPortasystemic Shunt, Transjugular Intrahepatic$$031396 000002789 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002789 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000002789 7001_ $$aChen, Lynette$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002789 8564_ $$97535eb7a-8173-4255-839c-c705caefdd01$$s591716$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2789/files/3557_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$25bba5bb8facb49fd0bc5bee8f0873acf$$31 000002789 905__ $$a/rest/prod/jw/82/7b/87/jw827b87k 000002789 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2789$$pstudent-work 000002789 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
