Both represent significant changes in how healthcare is provided. With any significant innovation there will be unanticipated results, both positive and negative. With two significant innovations, we should expect unintended consequences from the interaction of the EHR with Patient Centered Medical Homes. The EHR, then, has the potential to be a facilitator or a barrier for increased collaboration. Thus far, the literature on this topic is scant. In this dissertation we had three aims: 1) provide qualitative data to increase our understanding of the interaction between these two changes, 2) develop a tool to measure collaborative behaviors, and 3) analyze the association between the EHR as a communication channel and changes in collaboration behaviors between clinicians. 000002833 540__ $$fCC BY 000002833 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002833 650__ $$aHealth Care Surveys$$031673 000002833 650__ $$aElectronic Health Records$$038928 000002833 650__ $$aPrimary Health Care$$024590 000002833 650__ $$aCooperative Behavior$$017085 000002833 650__ $$aCommunication$$016935 000002833 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002833 692__ $$aDepartment of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology$$041422 000002833 7001_ $$aChase, Dian$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002833 8564_ $$9c2de49d3-bb4c-40f7-934f-89bc67b6ae73$$s865526$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2833/files/3601_etd.pdf 000002833 905__ $$a/rest/prod/kp/78/gg/56/kp78gg56z 000002833 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2833$$pstudent-work 000002833 980__ $$aBiomedical Informatics
