Given the complexity of existing protocols, multiple errors can occur during the paper-based prescription, leading to potentially serious consequences. To alleviate the problem, several recommendations have been published suggesting the use of computerized prescribing systems that have several advantages. The goal of the proposed project is to create safe and standardized chemotherapy prescription software and evaluate it for its effectiveness, efficiency and usability when compared to the current paper-based chemotherapy ordering system. 000002868 540__ $$fCC BY 000002868 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000002868 650__ $$aMedical Order Entry Systems$$036354 000002868 650__ $$aMedication Errors$$021956 000002868 650__ $$aNeoplasms$$022758 000002868 650__ $$aSoftware$$026159 000002868 650__ $$aDrug Prescriptions$$024578 000002868 650__ $$aDrug Therapy$$018086 000002868 6531_ $$achemotherapy 000002868 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000002868 692__ $$aDepartment of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology$$041422 000002868 7001_ $$aRekapalli, Hari$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000002868 7201_ $$aJimison, Holly$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000002868 8564_ $$95680b54a-412d-49f5-a7a4-a6c982946db8$$s6117313$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/2868/files/3637_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$23ccb907dc81af40b7fba6eb729f0467d$$31 000002868 905__ $$a/rest/prod/th/83/kz/65/th83kz65n 000002868 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:2868$$pstudent-work 000002868 980__ $$aBiomedical Informatics
