A crucial discovery that has emerged from the past decade of cognitive neuroscience is that using a network characterization of synchronized functional activity with rs-fcMRI can be leveraged to identify complex and reproducible topological systems-level organization of the brain. To progress on these fronts, the current work is separated into two projects which, 1) validate the use of rs-fcMRI in preclinical models and investigate how functional connectivity (FC) is shaped by its cellular and molecular substrates, and 2) apply these validated techniques to a preclinical animal model that can be then be compared to humans using the same non-invasive rs-fcMRI measurements. 000003062 540__ $$fCC BY 000003062 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000003062 650__ $$aGene Expression$$028717 000003062 650__ $$aAutism Spectrum Disorder$$011199 000003062 650__ $$aMagnetic Resonance Imaging$$021747 000003062 650__ $$aModels, Animal$$033025 000003062 6531_ $$aanatomical connectivity 000003062 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000003062 692__ $$aDepartment of Behavioral Neuroscience$$041394 000003062 7001_ $$aMills, Brian$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$10000-0002-8744-3407 000003062 7201_ $$aFair, Damien$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor$$eMentor 000003062 8564_ $$975d0212d-f0ae-45c8-84e9-506fb6a23979$$s3559220$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/3062/files/3995_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2a58e96c0e3b3c198cd3d0e8ae469734e$$31 000003062 905__ $$a/rest/prod/qb/98/mf/66/qb98mf66b 000003062 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:3062$$pstudent-work 000003062 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
