Given the prevalence of this cancer type, reduction in debilitating treatment-related morbidities is of critical importance. HNSCC is comprised of two biologically distinct tumor types: Those caused by environmental factors such as smoking and alcohol consumption, and those caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). The purpose of this study was to conduct a comparison pathway enrichment analysis using the Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) approach between three cancer cohorts: HPV-positive HNSCC, HPV-negative HNSCC, and HPV-positive cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). 000003074 540__ $$fCC BY 000003074 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000003074 650__ $$aSquamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and Neck$$012663 000003074 650__ $$aHuman Papillomavirus Viruses$$013981 000003074 650__ $$aAlcohol Drinking$$014403 000003074 650__ $$aSmoking$$026083 000003074 650__ $$aHead and Neck Neoplasms$$019866 000003074 650__ $$aUterine Cervical Neoplasms$$016403 000003074 6531_ $$ahpv 000003074 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000003074 692__ $$aDepartment of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology$$041422 000003074 7001_ $$aBoardman, Mitzi$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000003074 7201_ $$aWu, Guanming$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000003074 8564_ $$95a81973f-c5d3-4e18-b30e-9e42fb9526af$$s722287$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/3074/files/4007_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2386c80d2ae082cdbc81fa99f316544d5$$31 000003074 905__ $$a/rest/prod/k6/43/b1/51/k643b1517 000003074 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:3074$$pstudent-work 000003074 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
