AB  - The Portland Veterans Health Administration (VHA) provides acute  treatment for opioid use disorder through the Substance Abuse Treatment Program (SATP) and Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).  Upon completion of SATP/OTP access to maintenance treatment with buprenorphine medication assisted treatment (MAT) was limited by the lack of buprenorphine waiver trained providers in the behavioral health clinics. The aim of this project was to increase Veterans’ access to buprenorphine MAT by increasing the number of providers  with waiver training in the behavioral health clinic. The project was set in the behavioral clinic at the Portland VHA and participants included psychiatrists and nurse practitioners.
