AB  - Atopic dermatitis is a chronic relapsing inflammatory disease of the skin characterized by chronic itch.  Eosinophils, and eosinophils products, are present in the skin in patients with atopic dermatitis, though what role they play in mediating itch and inflammation in the skin is unknown. Potential mechanisms by which eosinophils cause itch and inflammation in the skin were studied in this dissertation.
