As front-line leaders, nurse managers advocate for patients and families in an exceptionally complex system, and play a primary role in ensuring staff engagement, patient safety, and quality care. Unfortunately, nurse managers are often not adequately prepared for this critical role, and rarely understand the practice of transformational leadership which has been shown as the most effective style for the environment in which they work. This Doctor of Nursing Practice project was undertaken to understand and describe the self-perceived frequency of transformational leadership behaviors and attributes in nurse managers who work in a complex adaptive system. 000003103 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000003103 650__ $$aWork Engagement$$012417 000003103 650__ $$aSurveys and Questionnaires$$025037 000003103 650__ $$aDelivery of Health Care$$017452 000003103 650__ $$aPatient Safety$$039887 000003103 650__ $$aPatient Advocacy$$023660 000003103 650__ $$aLeadership$$021357 000003103 650__ $$aNurse Administrators$$023071 000003103 6531_ $$amultifactor leadership questionnaire 000003103 6531_ $$acomplex adaptive systems 000003103 6531_ $$atransformational leadership 000003103 6531_ $$anurse leaders 000003103 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000003103 7001_ $$aBoyle, Megan$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000003103 8564_ $$9d9a10806-995d-4de1-bffc-607503355b23$$s957048$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/3103/files/4062_etd.pdf 000003103 905__ $$a/rest/prod/rb/68/xc/05/rb68xc05g 000003103 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:3103$$pstudent-work 000003103 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
