000003131 520__ $$aThe rising cost of health care both influences and underscores the need to better develop and implement evidence-based medicine. Evidence-based medicine helps ensure healthcare professionals and organizations will be using the most cost effective and efficient treatments that save money and time for insurers, providers and patients while also improving overall outcomes. Improving the usefulness of the systematic reviews to support policy makers, providers and patients is one way to bend the rising cost of care. The objective of this pilot project was to develop and test ways to present the results of a large, complex systematic review that would make them more useful to Learning Health Systems.
