000000400 520__ $$aMistreatment of women with disabilities is a significant and understudied issue, particularly among women with cerebral palsy (CP), who are often underrepresented in research. This study explored the life experiences of women with CP who have experienced mistreatment and examined how they interpret these experiences in relation to gender, culture, social class, and power. Using a feminist biographical method, eight participants completed two in‑depth interviews each. Narrative analysis revealed two central themes: experiences of mistreatment and the evolving experience of living with CP across the life span. Findings highlight the need for health care approaches that recognize the impact of mistreatment and support the unique experiences of girls and women with CP.
