However, the clinic is facing significant challenges in meeting the growing demand for services due to various limitations. The surge in referrals and patient volume, coupled with structural, resource, and organizational constraints, has highlighted the need for improvements to ensure prompt and quality care. Additionally, transgender, and non-binary youth, who already face high rates of mental health issues, require specialized support that the current program design of DGC may not adequately address given capacity limitations. The purpose of this project is to complete a market and financial analysis to create a framework to show the value of adding more behavioral health staff, explore the extent of revenue generation and capture rates, and supply recommendations on how to sustain needed growth while keeping the commitment of the program to equitable access to care. Additionally, the project considers the implications of growth and alternative structural models for the clinic and a proforma to calculate the financial implications of this growth. Research methods included primary research in the form of interviews with several Academic Medical Centers, billing and finance experts at OHSU, a site visit, and an exhaustive literature review. 000041275 540__ $$fCC BY 000041275 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000041275 650__ $$aTransgender Persons$$040159 000041275 650__ $$aDiversity, Equity, Inclusion$$013904 000041275 650__ $$aPediatrics$$023687 000041275 6531_ $$agender affirming care 000041275 6531_ $$adoernbecher 000041275 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000041275 692__ $$aDivision of Management 000041275 7001_ $$aWylam, Erin$$10009-0002-0017-3844 000041275 7001_ $$aCoffey, Aedan$$10009-0007-8872-989X 000041275 7001_ $$aMurty Annamalai, Satya 000041275 7001_ $$aArp-Howard, William 000041275 7001_ $$aChand, Suresh 000041275 7001_ $$aEllingson, Todd 000041275 7201_ $$aWalter, Jessica$$10000-0002-2169-959X$$eAdvisor$$7Personal 000041275 8564_ $$97f83875a-e7ac-41e9-8635-a4a363d40179$$s192515$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41275/files/Wylam.Erin.2023.pdf 000041275 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:41275$$pstudent-work 000041275 980__ $$aCapstone Abstracts in Healthcare Administration & Management 000041275 981__ $$aPublished$$b2023-07-12
