One hypothesis is that alterations in maternal concentrations of adipokines such as leptin and adiponectin may explain this association. Leptin and adiponectin influence the in-utero environment and glucoregulation in the parent and child, which has implications for fetal development and infant psychopathology.  The goal of the current study was to explore the mechanisms through which prenatal adipokines (leptin and adiponectin) influence the relationship between prenatal adiposity and infant negative affect.   000041296 540__ $$fCC BY 000041296 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000041296 650__ $$aPregnancy$$024523 000041296 650__ $$aChild Development$$016471 000041296 650__ $$aAdiposity$$036319 000041296 650__ $$aAdipokines$$037812 000041296 650__ $$aMental Health$$022046 000041296 650__ $$aDevelopmental Biology$$028463 000041296 650__ $$aMental Disorders$$015415 000041296 650__ $$aFetal Development$$035918 000041296 650__ $$aPregnancy$$024523 000041296 650__ $$aObesity, Maternal$$012995 000041296 650__ $$aTemperament$$026817 000041296 650__ $$aInfant Behavior$$031049 000041296 6531_ $$aearly childhood development 000041296 6531_ $$ainfant development 000041296 6531_ $$ainfant temperament 000041296 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000041296 692__ $$aDepartment of Psychiatry$$041443 000041296 7001_ $$aMolloy, Kelly$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041296 711__ $$aResearch Week$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2023 000041296 7201_ $$aSullivan, Elinor$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041296 7201_ $$aGustafsson, Hanna$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041296 7201_ $$aYoung, Anna$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041296 7201_ $$aAblow, Jennifer$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041296 7201_ $$aNigg, Joel$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041296 8564_ $$9e9ab7e8a-b530-4483-9c17-7c09b39f0b16$$s174134$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41296/files/ResearchWeek.2023.Molloy.Kelly.pdf 000041296 980__ $$aResearch Week 000041296 981__ $$aPublished$$b2023-07-19
