Premature infants receiving PN sometimes develop pathologies, including PN-associated liver disease (PNALD), lipid embolism of the lung, and increased cardiac stiffness. We studied physiological responses to Intralipid 20® and lipid disposition in the fetal blood, liver, lung, heart, and placenta in fetal sheep at 85-90% of gestation (equivalent to 36 weeks in humans), eliminating confounding factors associated with preterm birth. 000041621 540__ $$fCC BY 000041621 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000041621 650__ $$aInfant, Premature$$020785 000041621 650__ $$aParenteral Nutrition$$023606 000041621 650__ $$aLipids$$021539 000041621 650__ $$aFetal Research$$034449 000041621 650__ $$aFat Emulsions, Intravenous$$018903 000041621 650__ $$aInfant, Newborn$$020782 000041621 650__ $$aPregnancy$$024523 000041621 650__ $$aMilk, Human$$022322 000041621 650__ $$aLiver Diseases$$021588 000041621 650__ $$aEmbolism$$018334 000041621 6531_ $$anutrition 000041621 6531_ $$aPN-associated liver disease 000041621 6531_ $$aPNALD 000041621 6531_ $$alipid embolism 000041621 6531_ $$abreastmilk 000041621 692__ $$aCenter for Developmental Health$$041383 000041621 7001_ $$aJonker, Sonnet$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041621 7001_ $$aLouey, Samantha$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041621 7001_ $$aChen, Athena$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041621 711__ $$aResearch Week$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2023 000041621 8564_ $$97fec2dd9-1eba-4ae2-998e-ad0ea42bf168$$s68576$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41621/files/ResearchWeek.2023.Jonker.Sonnet.pdf 000041621 980__ $$aResearch Week 000041621 981__ $$aPublished$$b2023-08-21
