Currently, physical therapy does not focus on improving turns specifically. Because of this, we wanted to explore if a novel and comprehensive turning-focused rehabilitation program (TURN-IT) that addresses underlying constraints such as axial rigidity could improve functional mobility for those with PD. In this study, we test two functional mobility tasks (bed mobility and walking with turning tasks) before and after rehabilitation. 000041649 540__ $$fCC BY 000041649 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000041649 650__ $$aMiddle Aged$$022303 000041649 650__ $$aAged$$014351 000041649 650__ $$aAccidental Falls$$011050 000041649 650__ $$aParkinson Disease$$023617 000041649 650__ $$aSitting Position$$012849 000041649 650__ $$aSupine Position$$029320 000041649 650__ $$aWalking$$028911 000041649 650__ $$aHumans$$020376 000041649 650__ $$aMovement Disorders$$022476 000041649 650__ $$aPhysical Therapy Modalities$$033303 000041649 6531_ $$aparkinsonian disorders 000041649 6531_ $$amobility 000041649 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000041649 692__ $$aDepartment of Neurology$$041431 000041649 7001_ $$aEllison, Jacqueline$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041649 711__ $$aResearch Week$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2023 000041649 7201_ $$aMancini, Martina$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 7201_ $$aKing, Laurie$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 7201_ $$aCarlson-Kuhta, Patricia$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 7201_ $$aBarlow, Nancy$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 7201_ $$aSilva-Batista, Carla$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 7201_ $$aPrewitt, Austin$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 7201_ $$aHorak, Fay B.$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eCollaborator$$7Personal 000041649 8564_ $$9e65053d4-e77f-4e2e-9f33-b493560e44d4$$s225107$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41649/files/ResearchWeek.2023.Ellison.Jacqueline.pdf 000041649 980__ $$aResearch Week 000041649 981__ $$aPublished$$b2023-08-25
