The fundamental assumption of this proposal is that EPs with prior training in transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) can proficiently acquire three standard TEE views and correctly interpret common cardiac arrest pathologies in real time after a short didactic and simulation-based curriculum. This curriculum development is predicated on a 6-step Kern model that links it to existing health care needs. 000041726 540__ $$fCC BY 000041726 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000041726 650__ $$aHeart Arrest$$019929 000041726 650__ $$aEmergency Medicine$$018351 000041726 650__ $$aEchocardiography, Transesophageal$$030057 000041726 650__ $$aCurriculum$$017249 000041726 6531_ $$asotl/education scholarship 000041726 6531_ $$askill building 000041726 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000041726 7001_ $$aSwerdlow, Barry$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$10000-0001-9983-2867 000041726 711__ $$aSymposium on Educational Excellence$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2023 000041726 8564_ $$9d664497a-1f0e-4d20-b2f6-e31dd0c457e9$$s677549$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41726/files/Abstract_SEE2023_SwerdlowBarry.pdf 000041726 8564_ $$933f577c8-2068-40a2-9d80-765f7e8adee2$$s863137$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41726/files/Poster_SEE2023_SwerdlowBarry.pdf 000041726 980__ $$aOHSU Symposium on Educational Excellence (SEE) 000041726 981__ $$aPublished$$b2023-09-06
