Participants of this workshop will be challenged to re-integrate the benefits of place-based identity-making in preclinical and clinical curriculum. Participants will be asked explore what place-based identity means to them through a think-pair share activity before introducing various definitions and storytelling to connect identity and health. Participants will then be asked to think critically about how we can ensure our learners are prepared, not just to serve all Oregonians through urban centered healthcare, but to live and work in Oregon communities. 000041859 540__ $$fCC BY 000041859 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000041859 650__ $$aUrbanization$$027593 000041859 650__ $$aCurriculum$$017249 000041859 650__ $$aStudents$$026489 000041859 650__ $$aDiversity, Equity, Inclusion$$013904 000041859 651__ $$aOregon$$041094 000041859 6531_ $$ahealth sciences education 000041859 692__ $$aCampus for Rural Health 000041859 7001_ $$aMartin-Stanger, Linda$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041859 7001_ $$aHubbard, Kate$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041859 711__ $$aSymposium on Educational Excellence$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2023 000041859 8564_ $$94388b513-e134-42aa-b016-fe63c0056697$$s471119$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41859/files/Abstract_SEE2023_MartinStangerLinda.pdf 000041859 980__ $$aOHSU Symposium on Educational Excellence (SEE) 000041859 981__ $$aPublished$$b2023-09-07
