This correlation is explained via a few different biological pathways and underscores the importance of providing consistent, early access to an adequate amount of nutritionally complex foods. Disparities in access to healthy, consistent food resources is a key determinant of health and intimately linked to adverse health outcomes, chronic disease and inequality within the healthcare system.
