This correlation is explained via a few different biological pathways and underscores the importance of providing consistent, early access to an adequate amount of nutritionally complex foods. Disparities in access to healthy, consistent food resources is a key determinant of health and intimately linked to adverse health outcomes, chronic disease and inequality within the healthcare system. The creation of a sustainable food system and infrastructure is possible through legislation, federal and state programs, and community organization, and can lead to a healthier population. 000041942 540__ $$fCC BY 000041942 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000041942 650__ $$aFood Insecurity$$013447 000041942 650__ $$aDiet, Food, and Nutrition$$011087 000041942 650__ $$aHealthcare Disparities$$037945 000041942 650__ $$aFood Insecurity$$013447 000041942 6531_ $$acardiometabolic disease 000041942 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000041942 692__ $$aDivision of Physician Assistant Education$$041465 000041942 7001_ $$aMoody, Samuel$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000041942 7201_ $$aHansen, Brianna$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eAdvisor$$7Personal 000041942 8564_ $$98da89e24-2798-4bba-93c4-8afd2854583c$$s192203$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/41942/files/PA_Moody.Samuel.2023.pdf 000041942 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:41942$$pstudent-work 000041942 980__ $$aPhysician Assistant Program collection
