Throughout that period there were great advancements in pediatric medicine, not just for physical well-being, which is vital during times of rapid development, but also for emotional and mental health among younger patients, like allowing for less isolation between children receiving treatment and their parents. In addition, this issue highlights the work of a night clinic in what was then referred to as Portland’s skid row, located in the northwest area of the city.
