Produce prescription programs are one approach to food is medicine that improve food security and health outcomes by increasing access to and affordability of fresh fruits and vegetables for eligible consumers. Known as Veggie Rx in Oregon since 2014, these programs have grown in popularity in recent years; however, their use within health systems is still limited. This research aimed to address this gap in the literature by exploring the landscape of Veggie Rx in Oregon, and how Oregon’s CCOs perceive, engage with, and finance these programs with regard to their integration with health systems, and their potential to improve nutrition security. 000042902 540__ $$fCC BY-NC-ND 000042902 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000042902 650__ $$aDiet, Food, and Nutrition$$011087 000042902 650__ $$aDiet, Healthy$$011889 000042902 650__ $$aFood Security$$013306 000042902 650__ $$aMedicaid$$021932 000042902 650__ $$aPublic Health Systems Research$$012008 000042902 650__ $$aHealth Policy$$019898 000042902 650__ $$aDelivery of Health Care, Integrated$$031297 000042902 650__ $$aAccess to Healthy Foods$$013815 000042902 651__ $$aOregon$$041094 000042902 6531_ $$aproduce prescription programs 000042902 6531_ $$aveggie Rx 000042902 6531_ $$acoordinated care organizations 000042902 6531_ $$anutrition security 000042902 691__ $$aOHSU-PSU School of Public Health$$041366 000042902 7001_ $$aKihn-Stang, Alexandra$$uPortland State University$$041357 000042902 7201_ $$aGelmon, Sherril B.$$uOHSU-PSU School of Public Health$$eCommittee chair$$7Personal 000042902 7201_ $$aGoodman, Julia$$uOHSU-PSU School of Public Health$$eCommittee member$$7Personal 000042902 7201_ $$aIzumi, Betty$$uOHSU-PSU School of Public Health$$eCommittee member$$7Personal 000042902 7201_ $$aYaroch, Amy$$uCenter for Nutrition and Health Impact$$eCommittee member$$7Personal 000042902 8564_ $$yCopyright Fair Use Checklist$$9c966eebb-fb34-457d-94c4-678750390e2a$$s311458$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/42902/files/AKSfairusechecklist.pdf 000042902 8564_ $$99b96cba3-2997-464b-937d-89c94c329fc0$$s2372272$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/42902/files/KihnStang.Alexandra.2024.pdf 000042902 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:42902$$pstudent-work 000042902 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations 000042902 981__ $$aPublished$$b2024-05-21
