Nursing students who feel as though they belong not only report more positive clinical learning experiences, but also increased personal satisfaction with the learning environment. Evidence suggests that curriculum which focuses on the development of strong interpersonal skills including communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution can help to foster a sense of belonging amongst nursing students, which will later support their transition into the team based clinical environment. Game based learning is a promising educational intervention that has been shown to improve communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution among healthcare students (including nurses) within interprofessional teams. 000042994 540__ $$fCC BY 000042994 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000042994 650__ $$aAdvanced Practice Nursing$$038882 000042994 650__ $$aStudents, Nursing$$026493 000042994 650__ $$aCurriculum$$017249 000042994 650__ $$aSocial Skills$$040766 000042994 650__ $$aEducation, Nursing, Baccalaureate$$018230 000042994 6531_ $$asocial belonging 000042994 6531_ $$ateam based games 000042994 6531_ $$ainterpersonal skills 000042994 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000042994 7001_ $$aEspinoza, Elizabeth$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$10000-0003-0577-282X 000042994 7001_ $$aHeinrich, Anna$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000042994 7001_ $$aTaha, Asma$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000042994 8564_ $$9c945ce70-74eb-447a-b50a-91fdbba80cbe$$s759816$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/42994/files/Abstract_SEE2024_EspinozaElizabeth.pdf 000042994 980__ $$aOHSU Symposium on Educational Excellence (SEE)
