Though much is known about the experience of pain and its management in this age group, there is a documented knowledge-to-action gap wherein the literature has not been translated into protocols for needle procedures. This quality improvement project utilized the Kirkpatrick Model and the Iowa Model of implementation science to create and deliver an educational intervention for staff in an outpatient pediatric clinic. This intervention was designed to improve staff confidence and competence on the topic in preparation for the implementation of a standardized needle procedure protocol for pain management. 000043315 540__ $$fCC BY 000043315 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000043315 650__ $$aPain Management$$039572 000043315 650__ $$aPediatrics$$023687 000043315 650__ $$aOutpatients$$023380 000043315 650__ $$aChild$$016462 000043315 6531_ $$apediatric pain 000043315 6531_ $$aneedle procedures 000043315 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000043315 7001_ $$aLo Bue, Lauren$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000043315 7201_ $$aMartinez, Rebecca$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eAcademic advisor$$7Personal 000043315 8564_ $$9d901dd9e-df9d-430f-b65b-fd2d17bd371e$$s7248515$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/43315/files/LoBue.Lauren.2024.pdf 000043315 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:43315$$pstudent-work 000043315 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations 000043315 981__ $$aPublished$$b2024-06-07
