Firearm ownership is more common among Veterans (45%) than non-Veterans (20%), and 1 in 3 Veteran firearm owners store at least one firearm unlocked and loaded. With Veteran input and local VA collaboration, educational materials were created promoting secure firearm storage and disseminated within a rural VA healthcare center. This study sought to evaluate Veterans’ perceptions of the materials. 000043669 540__ $$fCC BY 000043669 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000043669 650__ $$aVeterans$$027802 000043669 650__ $$aRural Health$$025632 000043669 650__ $$aFirearms$$019060 000043669 6531_ $$asecure firearm storage 000043669 691__ $$aOHSU-PSU School of Public Health$$041366 000043669 7001_ $$aKelly, Susan$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000043669 7001_ $$aMaxim, Lauren$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000043669 7001_ $$aGilbert, Tess$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000043669 7001_ $$aCarlson, Kathleen$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000043669 711__ $$aResearch Week$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2024 000043669 8564_ $$931679c80-26a6-4714-89d4-c943c7b1c9b9$$s77876$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/43669/files/ResearchWeek.2024.Kelly.Susan.pdf 000043669 980__ $$aResearch Week
