000043769 520__ $$aWe have been fairly well able to cope with physical disabilities and illnesses but the mental field has been left strictly alone. It has seemed beyond our ken, in the realm of the supernatural, and sometimes not even sympathy was offered to those so sadly in need of help. Fortunately, within the last few years a new picture has been started. The mental field has been coming into its own. We are realizing more and more that mental ills can oftentimes be cured, and that they can practically always be prevented if the right treatment is applied in time.
