We evaluated whether POD predicts failure to return to baseline physical function at three months. On multivariable logistic regression, delirium was not significantly associated with PROMIS Physical Function decline at either the 2-point MCID threshold (OR 1.10, 95% CI 0.32-3.29, p=0.867) or the 4-point threshold (OR 1.23, 95% CI 0.32-4.01, p=0.747). Further studies are needed to clarify the relationship between delirium and long-term recovery.
