Exposure to Early Life Stress (ELS) is often associated with long-term mental and physical health consequences. While we did not identify any networks significantly associated with total number of life events (p > 0.05), we did identify 14 nodes and edges that were negatively associated with mean severity of distress (p = 0.024, FWER-corrected). Further analysis will be focused on linking ELS, structural and functional neural circuitry, and infant behavioral markers to ascertain how early in development these changes occur and identify effective interventions for at-risk individuals.
