This study evaluated whether average white blood cell (WBC) counts vary by route of marijuana consumption, including smoking or vaping, edibles, or combined edible and inhaled use. Methods: Exclusion criteria included history of tobacco or steroid use. Welch’s t-test demonstrated no statistically significant differences in WBC count (p=0.88), weight (p=0.67), BMI (p=0.52), or age (p=0.22) between smoking and edible groups. Across all participants (unique n = 227) average BMI was 29.2 kg/m^2, average age was 42.2 years, and the majority were female (55.9%). Future research will compare WBC counts between marijuana users and non-users.
