This turnkey belonged to a Dr. Allen of Hammond, New York. He gave it to his nephew, an assistant surgeon in the Union Army during the U.S. Civil War. He traded it with some other articles to a Dr. Price. A Confederate from Opelousas, Louisiana. A man named Buck took the instrument from Dr. Price when Price was intoxicated. Buck gave it to Dr. W.P. Dickinson on Christmas Day, 1899. When Dr. Dickinson retired as Dean of the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1910, he taught at North Pacific College of Dentistry until 1919. 000004773 540__ $$fCC BY 000004773 542__ $$fIn Copyright 000004773 650__ $$adental museum collection 000004773 650__ $$aDental Instruments$$017515 000004773 650__ $$aTooth Extraction$$027181 000004773 8564_ $$9dfd63b56-9d45-451f-9c12-1b94a5ac72e4$$s87793$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/4773/files/e41c7758f4f0e894abbdb35a04df73b8.jpg 000004773 905__ $$a/rest/prod/1z/40/kt/16/1z40kt165 000004773 980__ $$aHistorical Collections and Archives
