Physical inactivity may contribute to these problems, yet its relationship with kidney function after transplant is not well understood. This pilot study evaluated whether kidney function is associated with physical activity levels in 20 renal transplant recipients who wore accelerometers for one week. Only one participant met CDC physical activity guidelines. Higher serum creatinine was positively associated with minutes of activity, while blood urea nitrogen showed no association. Findings suggest kidney function may influence post‑transplant activity levels, warranting larger studies that account for medications, diet, and additional confounders. 000000578 540__ $$fCC BY 000000578 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000578 650__ $$aPhysical Fitness$$024106 000000578 650__ $$aKidney Transplantation$$028834 000000578 650__ $$aCreatinine$$017180 000000578 650__ $$aWeight Gain$$028406 000000578 650__ $$aPilot Projects$$024161 000000578 650__ $$aSedentary Behavior$$038887 000000578 650__ $$aKidney$$021185 000000578 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000578 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000000578 7001_ $$aLees, Paul$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000578 7201_ $$aAl-Uzri, Amira$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eMentor 000000578 7201_ $$aZaman, Atif$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor 000000578 8564_ $$90325f146-189d-4e46-88e6-2518bad1b750$$s3613185$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/578/files/579_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2e3f409025842f12d302e476cb14c9eaf$$31 000000578 905__ $$a/rest/prod/gb/19/f5/82/gb19f5828 000000578 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:578$$pstudent-work 000000578 956__ $$aGet Accessible Copy$$uhttps://ohsu.libwizard.com/f/requestaccessibledocument 000000578 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
