Vaccination is the most effective prevention, yet Oregon failed to meet the Healthy People 2010 goal of 90% coverage for two-year-olds. Using 2007–2009 National Immunization Survey data, this study examined sociodemographic factors influencing up-to-date pertussis immunization among Oregon children aged 19–35 months. Results show coverage was associated with older age, continuous insurance, fewer siblings, maternal education, and Spanish-language interviews. Findings inform targeted interventions to improve vaccination rates and protect vulnerable populations from this serious disease. 000000593 540__ $$fCC BY 000000593 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000593 650__ $$aWhooping Cough$$027975 000000593 650__ $$aPertussis Vaccine$$023878 000000593 650__ $$aChild$$016462 000000593 650__ $$aImmunization Schedule$$020674 000000593 650__ $$aInfant$$020774 000000593 650__ $$aImmunization$$020673 000000593 651__ $$aOregon$$041094 000000593 6531_ $$aimmunization of infants 000000593 6531_ $$aimmunization of children 000000593 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000593 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000000593 7001_ $$aFry, Stephanie$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000593 8564_ $$92426a1f7-182b-43b4-bc49-f65e295bc88c$$s1319557$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/593/files/594_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2c58466fbe99e293090833869d3822021$$31 000000593 905__ $$a/rest/prod/df/65/v7/85/df65v785p 000000593 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:593$$pstudent-work 000000593 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
