Respondent‑Driven Sampling (RDS) offers a promising method for accessing these concealed groups, yet practical challenges remain. Following an unsuccessful attempt to implement an anonymous web‑based RDS model, we conducted a simulation study to assess how transition probabilities, network sizes, and seed selection influence equilibrium, sample composition, observed prevalence, and reciprocity. Findings highlight the importance of pilot data to inform network parameters, careful seed selection, and a deliberate incentive structure for successful RDS implementation. 000000611 540__ $$fCC BY 000000611 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000611 650__ $$aPopulation$$024434 000000611 650__ $$aMethods$$022159 000000611 650__ $$aUser-Computer Interface$$027668 000000611 650__ $$aData Collection$$017385 000000611 650__ $$aSampling Studies$$025699 000000611 650__ $$aInternet$$032394 000000611 650__ $$aHomosexuality, Male$$030808 000000611 650__ $$aSexual and Gender Minorities$$011991 000000611 650__ $$aHIV$$020258 000000611 650__ $$aAcquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome$$014162 000000611 650__ $$aUser-Computer Interface$$027668 000000611 6531_ $$astatistical methods 000000611 6531_ $$ahuman-computer interaction 000000611 6531_ $$astatistical sampling 000000611 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000611 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000000611 7001_ $$aFranklin, Heather$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000611 7201_ $$aLapidus, Jodi$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eChair 000000611 8564_ $$98013e1d2-7500-41d8-8e4b-8809b208d5c6$$s530907$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/611/files/612_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$229afa7257197a8b0fb6cd51a9808d55e$$31 000000611 905__ $$a/rest/prod/jh/34/3s/32/jh343s320 000000611 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:611$$pstudent-work 000000611 956__ $$aGet Accessible Copy$$uhttps://ohsu.libwizard.com/f/requestaccessibledocument 000000611 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
