This study evaluated whether patients with forms in the Registry were ever missed during calls, assessed the feasibility of an alternative matching model, and validated the current matching algorithm. Among 180 cases, three additional matches were identified beyond those originally recognized. The existing algorithm demonstrated high sensitivity and perfect specificity, and no model outperformed it. Standardizing search procedures—especially using last name, date of birth, Social Security number, and POLST ID—may further improve accuracy and support adoption of similar registries in other states. 000000647 540__ $$fCC BY 000000647 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000647 650__ $$aAdvance Directives$$028977 000000647 650__ $$aTerminal Care$$026847 000000647 650__ $$aEmergency Medicine$$018351 000000647 650__ $$aRegistries$$025276 000000647 650__ $$aFeasibility Studies$$018922 000000647 650__ $$aSocial Security$$026118 000000647 651__ $$aOregon$$041094 000000647 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000647 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000000647 7001_ $$aOlszewski, Elizabeth$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000647 8564_ $$9fcb53df5-f6a8-4284-95a8-cfaf6004cf6a$$s600630$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/647/files/648_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$28cacfcabaecbd36dfc52cc0b4ae5ad68$$31 000000647 905__ $$a/rest/prod/3j/33/32/27/3j3332278 000000647 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:647$$pstudent-work 000000647 956__ $$aGet Accessible Copy$$uhttps://ohsu.libwizard.com/f/requestaccessibledocument 000000647 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
